Crash

The movie crash shows how people are born with good hearts, but they grow up and learn prejudices. Crash is a movie that brings out bigotry and racial stereotypes. Throughout the movie the viewers are faced with stereotypes and racial tensions. Overalls this movie opened my eyes more to everyday life.

In the movie, every character is faced with problems. No one is perfect in the movies because everyone commits a wrongful act. In the movie there was a stereotype of black men being armed and dangerous, Muslims being terrorist, and Mexicans with tattoos are thugs. These stereotypes caused prejudice and racial tensions among one and other. One of the most evident scenes of racial tensions was in the beginning when Ludacris and his friend interact a white couple . The stereotype of black men made the couple fear them as they take the batteries out their phones and after they was robbed, the wife expressed her anger towards the Mexican locksmith. Then the cop tommy Hansen, the "good"cop shot and killed the black guy he arrested in the fear of him pulling out a gun. The movie shows how the good can become the bad and how the bad can become the good.

These were only some of the many events of prejudice that was displayed in the film.
