One of the biggest stereotypes that I saw in the movie was when the Latino was changing his lock for the white woman who was scared because she had recently been robbed. While the Latino was changing the lock she had noticed he had various tattoos, then she began to worry. She went into the kitchen telling her husband to hire a new locksmith and get rid of the Latino because as soon as he would be finished she expected him to go sell it to his homies. The Latino was able to hear the conversation and he got pretty upset and finished the lock and left. When the Latino got home the exact opposite of the stereotype showed, he was a loving man really good to his daughter and was very easy to tell he wasn't in any trouble. The White woman just saw that a Latino with various tattoos must mean he's associated with a gang or he robs and hurts people.
In the movie there is a lot of tensions of fear going on.
I believe the part when the black couple were standing outside there car pulled over by the cop was the scariest tension. The black couple weren't doing anything wrong they were stopped because a car has been robbed and the cops assumed it was them. When the cops started to ask questions the Black female started to give smart responses that the cops didn't like. The cop then started to touch all over her and violate her while the male wasn't able to do anything. White Cops take advantage over black people because they are the more dominant group, they have the power at the end of the day everything will go in there favor. That's why we hear the police shootings on the news all the time because they can do the sickest thing to people and get away with it.
