What I got from this reading is that oppression is still very active in today's society. A fathers financial status bases his own success and determine his future. All of the benefits go to the privileged groups. Since they have more money their futures will be better off than a family who has no money at all. This is a perfect example of people being born into situations with advantages or disadvantages. People who are born into money have an advantage in life over someone who isn't born into money. Little things such as this kid can afford to go to a private school or they can get extra tutoring if they need it. But the kid who doesn't have money can't get that extra help and has to go to the local public school and struggle through. Every thing that has to deal with this has its advantages and disadvantages.
